Not sure when I feel full??
Help gang! I haven't figured out when I feel full yet... at least not until it's too late and I think I'm going to puke! I'm 2 weeks out of surgery now, and just starting the pureed foods now. I used to feel full in my stomach but now it's in my chest when I feel it. Is that normal?? And how do you combat the munchies or should I say cravings for the salty/crunchy things? I'll take whatever suggestions I can get!!

I feel full in my chest too. That's when I know I ate too much or too fast. Occasionally a new food will actually hurt, like it's stuck. I am 2 months po..best of luck to you!
This is why you need to measure everything. All of your stomach nerves were severed so you can't trust it or use it as a gauge of fullness. Measure everything and eat only what you measure.
And, yes, it is normal to feel that fullness in your chest, not in your stomach. (Although, again, it's not a reliable signal right now.)
As for crunchy things, I think you're just stuc****il you can eat solids. Sorry!

Measure everything and aim for under what you usu can eat. It gets easier and the sensations return.

Thanks everyone for the help! Just a few more questions... what were you recommended for measurements? I wasn't really given suggestions except for using eating soft foods likes pureed scrambled eggs, applesauce, ground turkey, cream of wheat, etc.. If you have notes to share on the amount of food I'd appreciate it. The nutritionist I saw in order to qualify for the procedure wasn't too up on gastric weight loss. I think I need to find some assistance for the "after surgery" journey!
