That sensation in your stomach...

I get a weird feeling in my stomach. Not really a hunger pang but I know I need to eat something. But even when I eat the feeling in my stomach is weird. Not painful and not very pleasant.   Just curious if that will go  away and if eventually your stomach feels "normal" when you do eat?  Hope you understand what I mean or is it just me? I'm assuming the sensation might be the feeling of food in stomach?

I can't help you as I am trying to get approved for the sleeve.  But, I do have the band and know that you might get a lot of help if you can go a bit more into explaining that weird feeling. With all the sleeve vets on here, someone should be able to recognize it.

Yeah, I had the same sensation.  It eventually goes away.  It went away about a month for me.

Sorry, still pre-op and not a lot of help, but, could it be acid?

I think I know exactly what you mean. It really bothers me, too, and it's only been when I've been really rested that it seems to subside for a little bit. I hope it goes away soon!

Sometimes I eat and my stomach feels fine. Sometimes I eat and my stomach feels weird. It's annoying! I have been assuming that it is a stomach acid issue. I, too, am looking forward to 'normal' ... and wondering if this is just the new normal. I know I am only a month out and there is still healing going on.

When I get hungry now, it's different than before surgery. Now my stomach feels more "empty" than hungry. Is this maybe what you're experiencing? So, no my stomach doesn't feel normal now. For me it's my new normal! And I'm fine with it. I absolutely hate feeling full now so I make sure I don't eat too much. For me there is such a small window between being too full and just right so I try really hard to listen to my body and stop before the full sensation hits.

It is totally normal and will go away.  Acid reducer helped mine calm down.

Are you on a PPI?  We had to take them 2X a day for one year.  I cut down to 1X a day at 6 months (went thru 3/4 weeks of heck) than cut them out at one year (3/4 weeks more of heck.)  Than everything was back to normal.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

I have the same feeling also... After reading what responses you received I'd have to say I would agree with cindy.... I couldn't describe it before but ..I'd say an empty feeling is what it feels like .. and to me that's way better the to full...

Good luck
