Big step!
Never in a million years pre-sleeve would I have ever considered having a family portrait done. The last professional picture taken of my husband, son and me was about 7 years ago at my brother's wedding. This year, for my husband's birthday, I am going to have a portrait done of me and our son for him to hang in his office.

A few years ago we gave my parents a family photo shoot as a Christmas present and, I've got to say, I can't wait to do another one now that I'm thinner :P I think we're going to make it an every 5 year gift.

That's great Megan! :) I hear you - I HATE having my picture taken but have tried not to actively avoid it for my girls. I don't want my daughters to EVER have a bad self image - fat or thin - and if they see mom avoiding cameras (like I used to see MY mom do!) I am afraid they will go there. :) That being said - I will be front and center AFTER wls! Lol..
