My new tiny tummy is having a bad day!
I had VSG on 7/28. I feel I've been doing good. I started mushies yesterday. I had a 'wet' egg last night. I felt I may of had 1 or 2 bites to many. I had an overfull feeling for a few hours. It took me 30-40 min to eat about 3/4 of it. By bed I was fine. Today it took me from 8am to 4 pm to drink 1 protein shake and 12 oz of water! My tummy feels tight and I feel like I need to burp but can't. I did chew 2 tums today and used a gas-x strip with no relief. Different temperatures don't help. I tried really cold, room temp & warm water. Any ideas? Thanks.
To be honest, I wasn't able to eat an egg (no matter how prepared****il almost 6 months out. And they sat like a rock. Even at 9 months out, eggs are not something that I eat often. I just don't like the tight feeling I get now after eating just a fourth or half an egg (a whole egg kills me) and the protein count is pitiful for the amount I can choke down compared to other foods I can easily eat and have more protein.

I had surgery on the same day! For drinking, try something flavored, or even diluted apple juice. I find it easier to drink for some reason than plain water. Chicken broth goes down easy too.
Today I had my first egg. I tried soft boiled. That first bite stuck pretty bad, but I think I just needed to chew more. The rest of the bites were tiny and well chewed and went down ok... But it was by far the most filling thing I've eaten! About halfway through I was done, and it stuck with me quite a while. Hope your tummy upset resolves soon.
