Stall...

I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir :)

I'm almost 4 weeks out from my VSG, and I've only lost one pound in the last 3 weeks.  I'm getting 60-90 grams of protein each day, and I'm trying to make sure I'm drinking more and more water every day.

Any suggestions?  I know I should just sit back and relax...easier said than done!

Stalls are totally normal and you'll experience them a number of times throughout your entire process.  Stick to your plan and you'll reach your goal.

Search " 3 week stall" on the search function. You will find this is very very common and just keep with your program and the weight will move downward again. I had a three week stall post VSG that lasted over three weeks. I stall about every three to four weeks. I am a stairstep loser. But I AM A LOSER  :)

I actually just lost two pounds after losing and gaining the same for three weeks. LOL

It's so hard, isn't it!?!  Just have faith. One thing that helped me through that (and I just got through my second one - I'm only about two months out)... I took my measurements.  A week later, even though I'd only lost about a pound, I'd lost inches.  If you need something to help you through, that could be it!  And come here often.  We all have stalls - everyone has a story to share.  You'll lose - just keep the faith!

Looks like we had surgery around the same time. I stalled week 3. Since Surgery I've lost 30 pounds. My advice is to track everything using my pal fitness and kick up the cardio. Cardio plus increasing protein helps get over stalls.

I second doing the measurements.  Plus, I log my weight every 2 weeks.  And even though I have stalled many times and for as long as 12 days, the least I have lost during one of those 2 week measurments is 2 lbs and that was in December..  For the first 3 months my average loss was 9 lbs every 2 weeks, the 2nd 3 months I averaged 6 lbs every 2 weeks and for the last 3 months I have averaged 4 lbs every two weeks.

Gwen recommends trend weight and OH has their own tracking for your weight that will graph your loss.

Surgery Date 04-22-14 HW 2011 388(lost 60lbs on WW, regained 40) Surgery Consult Weight 1/10/14 - 367 SW 357 - CW 9/15 210.

Stalls are your body's way of telling you not to get too cocky.
