at the end of my journey so need some help
5 ft 8 , large frame and currently weigh 170 ( 55 yr old female) I had surgery in MX so now not sure where to stop. I have lost 92 lbs in the last 7 months and am in a size 10. The charts say I should weigh as little as 135 but really I don't have much more than 20 lbs to spare nd not sure if that is where I will stay. Anyone have any numbers to compare?
Does your PCP have any insight for you?

I've contemplated my end weight, although I still have a long way to go.
BMI chart says I should be around 135-140 --- but I don't know that I could really maintain well at that weight.
My advice would be to stop where you feel that you can comfortably and healthily maintain, even if it's more than the "charts/scales" say. Can your primary care physician here at home offer any advice?
Surgery Date: 12/9/14 - Highest Weight: 349 - Surgery Weight: 305 - Current Weight: 137
Goal reached in 13 months - 212 total pounds lost including pre-op
(M1: -20) (M2: -18) (M3: -11) (M4: -11) (M5: -14) (M6: -1) (M7: -18) (M8: -7) (M9: -15)
(M10: -13) (M11: -7) (M12: -10) (M13: -10) (M14 -6) (M15: -7) - 168 lbs lost post-op
So my dilema seems to be the standard chart that my primary doctor uses. It is so useless I could scream.
Since I paid out of pocket I cannot join any of the local Bariatric places ( even though I went to them for 4 years ) for any support.
Does anyone have a scale that measures body fat as that would help me the most. I could figure out what is lean body mass and what is fat then know what to target.
Those scales are pretty inaccuate, even the one at my surgeon's office can vary wildly.
Search online for body composition analysis for a place in your area. It costs about $100 for the first visit and $75 afterwards. At least those are the costs here in San Antonio. The machine looks kind of like an open MRI. The plus side is the machine will read bone density analysis. More important for women but good for us guys as well.
My surgeon's office starting offering them and I had one done about 5 months ago. I will get another just before my 1 year checkup with the surgeon.
End of journey? You don't plan on leaving us anytime time soon do you?
Not to be too philosophical, you may be reaching the end of the weight loss phase but staying healthy and maintaining your weight is never-ending according the vets on here.

Well I'm 5'8" and I can tell you my plan. Since IO was at my perfect weight in my 20's as far as how good I felt, I was between 140-150 usually hovered around 145. Now that I'm older tho at 64 I'm thinking 170 is a good number for me. Since I'm older I think it's good to have a little extra cushion of weight in case of illness. So there is my line of thought line.
I am 5'8" and 175 is my goal weight. It's a weight I felt good at. But I honestly don't think I have that much control over what the scale is going to do. I am going to keep on doing what I'm doing: lots of exercise, low carb eating, protein, etc., and maybe I'll get to 175, maybe I won't, maybe I'll lose more. I'm going to play it by ear.
the charts do not consider your age , or bone structure in most charts , you need to go by how you feel and how you look take a full length picture and look how you look in it a mirror will not work you see want you think you look like in a mirror not what you really look like a photo works best
that is one of the problems with out of state or country surgery, no support
there is a site I forgot its name where you can look at photos of people with your height and weight and age and see how they look try googleing it
It's called My Body Gallery.
