Airplane NSV's!

I fly a couple times a month for work. Now that I'm down 100lbs, it's a totally different experience! Here are some of the things I've experienced lately that skinnies take for granted, but I never will!
1. No one is upset when they see their seat is beside me
2. I have about the length of my elbow to my fingertips in seatbelt slack - before I either faked buckling up or had to shamefully ask for an extender
3. I can be buckled in and bend over to pick something up in my bag under the seat in front of me
4. I cross my legs the entire time and they don't hit the seat in front of me
5. These apply to both full size airplanes and the tin boxes that fly regionally!!
Just another few things I love about my sleeve!
Congrats!! These are great.

That's wonderful! I've flown a couple of times since surgery - both in the past year. It felt so good to have to tighten the seatbelt instead of sucking it in and just barely being able to buckle. I didn't fly for several years, while I was at my heavist, so never had the embarrassment of asking for an extender. One of the trips was to Disney with my family. What fun it was to be able to go on any ride I chose. I had years when I couldn't go on certain rides with my kids, as I wouldn't fit, and had lots of guilt over it. This time out, my chicken streak about some rides was still there, but it was just the source of some good natured teasing, and not shame.
