Clear Broth?

OK, I know this will sound like a silly question, but I just read that the day before my surgery I have to have all clear liquids. I already bought some Trader Joe's "Free Range Chicken Broth before I read this. So would this be considered CLEAR broth? I know I could open it and find out, but I would like to return it if it isn't the right thing. Any help would be very much appreciated! :-)

Your Trader Joe's broth will be fine.  Basically the clear indicates that you can see through it and that there are no additional ingredients such as pieces of chicken, noodles, vegetables, etc floating in the broth.  Good luck with your surgery.

On my program the  beef broth is ok too. I have heard that Trader Joe's is the best tasting, but haven't tried yet.

I had to do 2 days prior to surgery clear broths and I bought the TJ's broth. NO problem.

Swanson makes infused broths. I love the mexican tortilla and thai ginger... mmmmmm!

I'm having my surgery on 2/11.. I wanted to try some broths.. I forgot how gross and bland they are without the actual soup ingridents. Can you put garlic powder or something like that in them?

As an occasional treat I used a broth packet from Ramen. They're high in sodium, so I didn't use them daily, but they were a savory treat.

Unjury protein chicken broth is also pretty tasty.
