As of yesterday, I'm having surgery March 7 in Mexico! I can't wait. Two years of reading, research, hemming & hawing & talking with surgeons and I finally am doing this!
My best friends and boyfriend are extremely supportive. My family...a little less so. My mom, I think, is happy for me. My dad seems to think I'm being too drastic. But hey, I can't please everyone.
Congratulations!! This a huge step in your life towards a more healthy existence. I'm sure you will love your sleeve as much I love mine.
Yes, unfortunately you will find people who don't understand WLS/VSG. They think it's too drastic and why can you just diet and excersize. We have and it doesn't work for whatever reason. Just remember you are doing this for you! A huge positive leap forward to a healthier and happier you. :)
Please keep us updated with how you are doing. I wish you the best of luck with your surgery!!
Yay rah! And great attitude - you can't please everyone and you'd go crazy trying. Instead you're working to be the best you you can be. And that's the most important, imo :)
