passed leak test, now drink

I passed my leak test this morning. I had 2 oz of water which went down easy, then 45 min later I tried some apple juice (1oz) not really agreeing with m. Have some pain in the chest is area with that... and been falling in & outta sleep.

 try something warm like broth

or cold like ice pops

Stick with water if that goes down easier.  We don't really need the calories from juice anyway.  Try experimenting with different temperatures too.  Warm tea might work better than cold crystal light.  Or vice versa.  I did best with room temp crystal light lemonade.

leak test? how is that done,never heard of it

After surgery, surgeons typically order a leak test. You drink a barium solution and have an x-ray taken to make sure that there aren't any leaks in the sleeve. Usually, after you pass, you're allowed to start liquids.

I had an easier time with broth. I couldn't keep cold water down. Skip the juice!
