Don't let your age stop you.  I was 63 ,almost 64.  It has been great for me. Change your doctor if they are not supportive.  There are many who agree with this.  Good luck!

I turned 66 in November and had my sleeve done on December 29th. Today is my 1 month surgi-versary!  I have felt great everyday.  If you prepare yourself well and follow your surgeon's plan I am sure you'll do great!  Change doctors if you find it necessary.

They way the sleeve is like the band is the restriction. The way it is not is they remove 80% of your stoma*****luding part of it that produces a hormone that makes you hungry. That is a lifesaver for me. If I could have kept the weight of on my own I would have..I needed help.

You should find a different primary doctor because after surgery you need one to work with you and your bariatric team. Good luck!
