Holy Jean size difference!

So my surgery was almost a year ago. One of the many strategies I tried before surgery was Weigh****chers. I would laugh every time the class leader would say,"For every ten pounds you lose, you'll lose a size." Nonsense! I'm down 86 pounds and I've gone from a tight 22 to a 14! Funny story, Wednesday I wear size 16 boot cut jeans to work and they were falling down a little. Friday comes, and I shimmy on those perfect size 14 jeans. I had 5 people ask me,"Have you lost more weight?!?" Uhhhh not since Wednesday! Lol Anyhow, just shows ten pounds does not equal a size and the proper fitting jeans can do wonders for your figure. Go get 'em guys!

I agree with you, people have different boddies too! I carry a ton of weight in my backside and legs! For me every 17-20 lbs is me losing a clothing size! Rock those jeans girl!

Yeah, that 10 lbs = 1 clothing size applied when I was wearing the smaller sizes (2,4) but definitely NOT for the largest sizes of mine (tight 18s). After 84 pounds I am just getting into my size 10s.

But you are right about proper fitting clothing making a difference. I was wearing my size 16 pants yesterday. My period started and I wanted my big pants. Admittedly, I looked quite frumpy, but that's how I felt. Anyway, today, feeling a little better, I am wearing the size 10s. Within the first minute of showing up at work I have already received 3 compliments. So the lesson for me....no more frump pants.

When people would ask me "Have you lost more weight?" or would say, "Jeesh, when are you going to quit losing weight?" I would always tell them:  "I haven't lost a pound in months...I'm just wearing clothes that fit me now."

Keep up the great work, Natalie!

Since men's sizes are different in an apples and oranges discussion.  I have lost 150 lbs since my first consult.  I have gone from a size 4XL shirt to a L.  That is 5 sizes.  Dress shirts, size 22 neck to size 16.5 that is about 6 sizes.  Pants, I have gone from size 56 to size 38.  That is 18 sizes.  I got rid of all my big clothes.  I wish I had kept one 4XL and a pair of the 56's.

Surgery Date 04-22-14 HW 2011 388(lost 60lbs on WW, regained 40) Surgery Consult Weight 1/10/14 - 367 SW 357 - CW 9/15 210.
