Sauteed mushrooms, soft food vs raw vegetable?

I was cooking an asian recipe for the family tonight and was trying to eat the mushrooms out of the pan , they are soft and marinated, but are these considered soft foods?

I used them as soft food.  And like my dr said, your body will tell you if you cross the line.

My rule for soft foods was could I cut it easily with a fork? If so, it was a soft food. Of course, there are a lot of technically soft foods I wasn't allowed to eat, like ice cream or mashed potatoes or grits, but mushrooms were fine

And I am being a busybody here, but are you supposed to be noshing on random foods out of the pan at your stage? Sounds like a slippery slope to grazing. . .

I wouldn't consider them a soft food.  I only counted things as soft if they smooshed with a fork.  Sautéed mushrooms don't fit that for me.

Not to mention, while I was in soft foods I didn't have stomach space for non-protein foods!
