Gallbladder out and on the mend.

Had my outpatient gallbladder removal yesterday. Everything went very smoothly. They took me back for prep at 1:20pm and I walked out at 4:30pm. I was under about an hour. Same surgeon as my VSG. Even had the same anasteisalogist. My gallbladder was full of 3mm stones (too small to show on the ultrasound). I am taking it easy today and tomorrow. I even managed to lose 5 lbs this week.

It's not a bad surgery but I seem to have more pain then I did with my VSG. It is manageable with the pain meds but still sucks :)

Were you in the hospital longer for the VSG? I had the pain pump in the hospital with my VSG and I hit it pretty hard!

Yes I was in for 2 days with the VSG. I had pain pump day 1, then they switched me to Oral Pain Meds plus IV Torridal. With the Gallbladder I was sent home with Oxycodone 5MG. I can take 1-2 every 4-6. Since I have been home (2 days at this point) I have taken 14 of the 30 they gave me. I see the doc on Tuesday for a follow up, hopefully I will be sorted out by then.
