I was sleeved Monday, and discharged last evening. I had that acid feeling so I took the pepcid that i was prescribed (pill). It went down fine, but then the fireworks started in my gut, and I havent shaken off this weird valcano feeling... every sip, every lick of a sf ice pop- I have to wait 5 minutes for the acid bullets in  my gut to subside then hopefully burp....

I couldnt tolerate my qwest shake last nigh****er is painful, now i'm basically on the pops...

Please please tell me this is normal... I just feel miserable...

I was like that for 3 days post op. I bought generic Prevacid and opened up the capsules and took the granules slowly with a few tiny water sips . It really helped. It will get better.

If in doubt, call your surgeon's office. They can let you know for sure what "normal" is, and if something is unusual enough that you should come in to get looked at.
