48 hour pouch reset

I ran into a co worker that had her surgery in August. It was the motivation I needed because I've forgotten the excitement with the weight dropping off and she was beaming!!!

She frequents bariatric eating.com and the article about 48 hours pouch reset peaked my interest.

day 1 all protein shakes, no calorie liquids

day 2 4 shakes, then chicken for dinner... object is to steer brain back to the restricted feeling we have at the beginning.

day 2 almost over. Lost 3 pounds of weigh****er of course since I was on the potty all day.

Ready to rid myself of these last 15( I added 5 more for wiggle room) pounds

threw out the junk I had, went and sweated in my garden and ready to do this

The pouch reset is a myth. You would be better off for switching to a dense protein and cutting carbs and sugars.

I needed a mental boost and to see that darn scale move down . So far had both :)

but yes back to dense protein tonight

thanks

I was a contributor on BE for many years. Their pouch reset was a gimmick to sell their protein shakes. Nobody ever lost weight on their protein shake pouch resets, but the site sales were always up.

This is just another fad diet. You cannot physically shrink your pouch/sleeve, especially not by doing a liquid diet.

Your best bet is to "get back to basics" with the eating plan you were given post-op: protein first and (almost) exclusively.

If you REALLY want a fad diet, try all meat for a week: www.fivedaymeattest.com

I do understand that. The mental boost that made me stop and focus on myself again and my goal was the winner. Still lost 5 pounds, which I need even if it was water weight. Small victories to remind my self to stay on track.

thanks everyone
