First, today marks the first entire year in the last 10 where I have not had a major hospitalization for something gosh awful. How wonderful is that? I do attribute it to my sleeve.

QOTD: Which day in 2018 stands out as iconic (either good or bad)? For me it would be a doctor's visit with my PCP who pronounced my weight and all health markers "perfectly marvelous". We' been patient/dr for 17 years, friends outside for 15. She's been my champion and best help other than my husband through all the massive health crises and hospitalizations. Feeling pretty darned blessed!

We will have a low key friends dinner here ocean side tonight so have planned my eating accordingly:

B: Chobani key lime yogurt

S: Mountain grain bread w/egg (ok, 2nd breakfast)

L: Tuna Creation, ranch probably

S: Protein shake

D: 1/2 of a Brandy Alexander, filet mignon, greek salad, asparagus and twice baked potatoes (I only eat small bits of any of it.

And we'll for sure be in bed way before midnight -- we are all over 65 by a good distance!

Thanks for starting this! Happy New Years Eve! I can't believe that another year is finishing up. It is cold here this morning so Justice did a very quick out and now we are snuggling.

We are going out to an early dinner at 5 with friends, followed by champagne at their home. We will be home by 8-9 as DH will need to get to bed. Everyone is dressing up and wearing fur coats (all the other women inherited them from their mothers). I'll be chattering in my wool coat.

QOTD: I can't think of a single day that I would consider "iconic", though two opposite days sort of do: Bringing Justice home (to Foster but of course he was so wonderful his adoption was definite almost from day one). The other was being with Chiquita on her last day. It was time, and it was a peaceful leaving, but it is hard to lose a pet especially her as she had been my deceased DD's puppy.

2 Years 9 months post-op (maintaining below goal for 2 years, 1 month)

Always lots of coffee...

B: eggs, cottage cheese and Canadian bacon

L: Deli chicken

D: out to dinner - possibly scallop dish?

S: champagne, maybe some tastes of dessert

I'm so happy to be back home after a (mostly) awesome vacation week with my family. Plans today involve going out to see Aquaman and largely ignoring people since I didn't get any "me time" during our holiday.

QOTD: Nothing, actually. My year was sort of a blur. Which is ridiculous because I did some super amazing things. I went to Denmark and Norway, I went to Legoland and ate at the top rated restaurant in the WORLD. I saw Hamilton in DC. I went to Boston to participate in a walk for OCD and I met up with friends I hadn't seen since middle school. I had a great reunion weekend with 3 of my best friends from high school. It was a pretty decent year. But it was also ridiculously busy so everything sort of smooshed together and nothing stands out more than anything else.

1: protein shake - so happy to get a protein shake for breakfast after a week of "typical people breakfasts"
2: leftover bonchon from last night
3: meaty spaghetti sauce, pasta for the guys

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: I'm hoping to run for the first time in too long!

Good morning! Congratulations Annie on your wonderful health report, that is amazing!

It's a beautiful, clear sunny day here in Montana, but woke to 15 degrees. It is a trade off in the winter that is for sure! Either gloomy, grey and 28 degrees or sunny and so very cold. Those are the choices:-) Taking my mom to the casino for New Years Eve. Will leave my money and cards at home and only take what I can afford to loose. I've learned my lesson:-)

QOTD-Like Gwen, my year feels like a blur. Lots of ups and downs, but a lot of lessons learned. I am looking forward to a New Year.

B-1/3 cup granola, coffee

L-Greek yogurt with fruit and nuts

S-Hot tea

D-tbd, maybe something protein forward at the casino.

E-will take Emmy for a hike if it gets above 20 degrees.

I hope everyone has a safe New Years Eve!

Hello all- happy New Year's Eve! I will be going to church this evening to bring in the year.

QOTD: The day that is iconic for me in 2018 has to be the day I realized that my daughter will be in middle school next year. It hit me like a ton of bricks- its almost over " her childhood". It went by so fast.

M1: sausage

M2: 1 oz cheese, 2 oz of honey turkey

M3: 4oz of turkey with cheese and tomato

S: rest of turkey with cheese
