Fighting Cravings 1 year out?

Hi all!

My question is, what do you all do about cravings you have? I'm a year and 3 months out, and I've reached my goal weight of 150, but now my new goal is 135. To lose those extra 15lbs has been a toughie, as I noticed I crave snacks almost all day. I try to fill up on water and protein, but I still have the cravings! Is there anything I can do to curb them? I'm looking into natural appetite suppressants as well, has anyone tried these?

Thanks ?

Therapy has helped me. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can be a great tool to help rewire your thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes. There are even useful apps and workbooks available to help.

I found that one cookie at Christmas led me to cravings again. I'm "detoxing" like you are, with water & protein. And Gwen is on spot with cognitive therapy. I try to replace my wanting to eat with something else -- journal, crochet, writing letters or heaven help me, cleaning.

unfortunately, the only way to deal with cravings is cold turkey. One bite of the craved item willlusually start the cravings all over again. As long as you are clean, you won't be craving.

It is just like with alcohol or drugs, one use of the item usually has our addiction in full force again.
