Honey is pure sugar, so it sort of defeats the purpose of a low-carb liquid diet.

But ask your surgeon to be sure.

I agree with Gwen; while your surgeon/dietician has the last word, adding carbs with no nutrietion defeats the purpose of the high protein OptiFast. I did it for 2 weeks 800 calories a day. No, sometimes the drinks were not tasty.

I tried adding a bit of extra vanilla to that one, and it improved the taste with no additional carbs or protein. Or you could throw in some maple flavoring, mint flavoring -- but I wouldn't use honey, or sugar.

What about Stevia to sweeten it?

I don't know anything about the optifast diet. But a medium strawberry is only one carb and only 4 calories so maybe blending in a couple of strawberries will make it more palatable.
