complications...anyone else?

Wondering if anyone else had complications from surgery. Had Lap RNY on April 15th-ended up back in surgery May 15th (open) to fix an arterial bleed caused by an ulcer that formed on the staple line-causing the staple to puncture the artery behind it. Dr. indicated I was the first case that this has happened. In hospital 10 days and was very very ill.

Sorry to hear that you had some problems. No, my Lap RNY went quite well. I had surgery on 9/23/02 and was back to work (office) within 2 1/2 weeks. Hope you are doing better now. Take Care Laure H. 349/215
