Cheerios???

 I have this thing for Cheerios..... I don't KNOW WHY but I just like the crunchiness..... I have been hooked on cashews now Cheerios..... I do NOT  put milk on them just plain old dry cheerios..... NEVER in a MILLION years would I have eaten dry Cheerios before my surgery...... I think I am developing new odd tastes. Anyone else have different likes or dislikes with their food? Hugs, Leticia P. S. I have never seen so many new folks joining OH.....this is great!!!!!

I have some of the same type of cravings. I never liked mushrooms before surgery now I can't get enough of them also salmon I liked it ok but not much now I eat it all the time. It's like they did surgery on our taste buds.....lol

 I liked my dad fried salmon......before my surgery...I don't believe that would be a good choice now....LOL.......I do really like mushrooms and shrimp.....boiled or broiled or grilled......and fish.....YUMMMMMY!  I think they must doa little something to our taste buds....it is different...But a good different.

I'm like that with Honey N U T Cheerios. Yum! Hope it doesn't change post-op.

Do you eat them as a snack or part of one of your meals? Just wondering, I can't seem to get enough carbs to get to my daily goal set by the nut. Deb

I probably ate an oz......just wanted the crunchy...... They are OK......last few weeks I have been hooked on Cashews........ Cheerios are cheaper.....LOL

Umm.. i've been having cheerios with vanilla yogurt for breakfast ..sooo yummy. and the thinkness of the yogurt doesn't make the cheerios soggy! ..only 150 cals.. i like the 50 cal bluebunny vanilla cream. i get the plain cheerios cause the others have too much sugar for me. those are 100cal for a cup.

I love any kind of dry cereal!  I took someone's advice and got some carb count down milk made by hood, found at Walmart.  I had a cup of chocolate this morning and it was so good!  I also love macadamia nuts!  I got some roasted ones at the market and eat about 4 a day.  That is enough to satisfy my urge for something crunchy. I also got some sf root beer barrels and have one or 2 of them  per day.  I love them.  Apparently sf things don't bother me.  I am almost 6 weeks post op and nothing has made me dump!  I have eaten some things that made me throw up though but that is getting better every day.  I love this web site and all my new friends!!
