I spent $700 on an elliptical machine - nordic track...in February.  It is battery operated and when we bought it, we were told that the batteries last for years and years and they are about $200-300 to replace.  Well, guess what....I got on mine tonight and noticed the display was fading out and then it died - says Battery Low.  ARG!!!!!!!!!!!

So....has anyone else has this problem....is it covered under a warranty?  Mine's only 6-7 months old.

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your nordic track. Which model do you have? I have the CX1000, the one that folds up for space saving, and mine uses D size batteries for the display.  I would call or email nordic track and let them know what is happening and maybe they can send you a replacement one since you haven't had it very long. Good luck!
