Stomach Pain after Tooth Extraction
I had to have an upper molar extracted this morning and am now experiencing horrible abdominal pain/cramping. I had the same thing happen when I had one extracted in May but thought it might be kidney stones. The pain finally subsided at that time and I never did go in and get checked out. So, I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experiences like that. Could it be from the novicaine or swallowing blood?
Thanks for any responses.

They didn't send me home with any pain meds. I took 2 quick release tylenol before they started and haven't had any more since. The pain is tolerable right now but I should probably take more so it doesn't get worse.

bad genetics didn't help. Bad teeth run in my family on both sides, then when I was 16 I had braces and as they were taken off 18 teeth were broke or the enamel came off of them. Parents didn't have enough to fix things, and I never had good dental insurance and the money to fix things til the past couple years and then everyone wanted a couple thousand up front to pull them all at once after my insurance so I decided to go to a dental school. Over the past 13 months since my RNY my teeth have been damaged worse because I've vomited a LOT and some deficiencies so what little bit of hope that was left is gone. Still don't have a lot money wise BUT going through a dental school which is a lot less money.
Never, ever leave diagnosis of stomach pain to a message board.
GET MEDICAL ATTENTION ASAP.
Stomach pain like that needs to be attended to by a licensed physician. You should get to the ER ASAP. It could be cardiac symptoms. In women, most heart attacks are preceeded by stomach or back pain rather than the more commonly known chest pain (this applies more to men than women).
Belly pain is not something you leave to us to figure out. Seriously, your question scares me -- please go to the ER or at least call your physician. This needs checked out NOW.
Don't guess. Go NOW. And keep us posted.
