Blurred Vision
Does anyone have any trouble with blurred vision? I am 5.5mo out and sometimes I have blurred vision and wanted to know what might cause it, vitamin defiency or something else I take multi vitamin, calcium, b-12shot iron, biotin, and vitamin a and d .
Does anyone take Vistavitamins and know if they are all we would need to take to get in everything we need?
any info would be apperciated.
Thanks and God Bless You All

If you were a diabetic before surgery and wore glasses before maybe it is your eyes adjusting because of the diabetes. But, other than that I don't know.
I had RNY done just 2 years ago. I am a diabetic. Then my eye site got better. Then about a weak and a half a go my eye site got really blurry and double vision in my right eye. They say it's because of the diabetes that it changed so much. Even though right now I am not taking any diabetes meds. Since my sugars have been in normal range.
Sorry I couldn't help more.

Have you noticed if the blurred vision sometimes occurs a couple of hours after eating? Do you have other symptoms with it, such as dizziness, headache, and/or feeling shaky?
If so, you also might want to ask your doc about reactive hypoglycemia (low blood sugar 2-3 hours after eating certain foods), which can be an adverse effect of gastric bypass surgery (http://www.wlscenter.com/HypoglycemiaIntro.htm). Blurred vision is one of the possible symptoms.

My doctors warning before surgery and then after when it was happening to me was that since we are losing so much fat in the body, whi*****ludes around the muscles of the eyes, that blurred vision will sometimes occur while the eyes are adjusting to the new habitat just like the rest of your body, but to let him know if it gets worse or doesnt go away. He explained it to me in a much better, more technical way but since I couldn't possibly explain it like that I hope you can make sense of my explaination. Tell your doc about it, he may have an explaination for you! :)
I wanted to add that dehydration can cause extreme blurriness of vision. I did not realize how much eye dryness decreased vision until I had PRK eye surgery in September of 2008. My vision is currently blurry because we are having a real heat wave in the South, and the air conditioners are going full steam 24/7. The decrease in vision is very noticeable.
After my eye surgery, the surgeon told me that I need to make sure to drink lots of liquids because eye dryness starts from the "inside". After reading your post, it occurred to me that you could be dehydrated to some degree. An easy way to tell if it's eye dryness would be to apply some eye drops and wait a few seconds and see if your vision improves. Also, on rainy days, my vision is better than perfect because the moisture hydrates my eyes. Vitamin C and Flax Oil Capsules are very, very helpful for dry eyes, skin, and hair. Hope you find an answer to your blurry vision.
