High Platelet Count?

What exactly does this mean? My platelets have been high the last few tests. I'm on warfarin as I had PE/DVT's before too, so not sure if this affects it?

I'm a medical technologist also sometimes called a clinical laboratory scientist.  I'm one of the people runs the laboratory testing.  That result is just outside of the normal range.  That may be where you normally run.  I would not worry about it at that level.  If you and your doctor started seeing your platelets increase each and everytime you get lab work done then maybe further investigation would be needed but at that level I would not worry at all. 

would a 507 count be to high, i'm 9mts post-op and my blood work in dec my platelets were 549, i retested last wk and they are now 507?
