Making a variation of Nik's cabbage soup for dinner tonight...

And just wanted to thank her personally for it. Even the kids love it! It was actually my 13year old who asked me to make it for dinner tonight.

But because I have leftover ham from Easter I am using that in place of the turkey sausage. I never use the spinach (don't like cooked spinach) and am using up fresh grape tomatoes that are starting to get a little wrinkly instead of using canned. Oh, and since I like to try and make it taste like a Czech cabbage soup I had last fall on vacation in Prague, I am using caraway seeds as the main spice instead of Italian. If I only had a loaf of rye bread I'd be all set!

Here's the link to her original recipe, in case anyone else likes cabbage soup: bariatricfoodie.blogspot.com/2010/10/niks-comforting-cabbage -and-sausage.html

Thanks, NIK!

I thought I copied all her recipes down, but I must have missed some.  Thanks for posting this.  It makes me want to go to the grocery store right now...lol

Thanks Jenny
