1 YR SURGAVERSARY

           

well trying to post my before and after pics  dont know how these will look but will try.
its been just over a year and i'm at my goal.  best decision i ever made for myself.  type II diabetes, high cholesterol, and sleep apnea all gone.  so health wise its huge!  Emotionally its been a much tougher road.

quite a journey.  it is a not just a whole new way of eating but of managing feels/emotions that used to be dealt with by food.  As they say we had surgery on our stomachs not on our brain!  It's a whole new me and even after a year I still find myself thinking of me as the old person.  even thinking i look like i used to.  been cleaning out finally all my clothes.  been tryijng stuff on thnking it will fit and its huge...my mind hasn't caught up.

I feel so much better physically and emotionally.  This has been a life changing experience and I hope all who have tried every which way under the sun and couldn't do it that this is a way out.  It's not the easy way as some would say but it for me was well worth it.

I often lurk on this site these days but was more active in the beginning of my journey.  This site was sooo helpful in getting me prepared for this journey.

I wish all those who have and who are considering this the very best.

Congrats on your one year surgiversary- its only been a little over 6 weeks for me and i cant imagine my what my life will be at the one year mark but you deserve kudos!!! I love being able to look forward to what lies ahead!
