What salad dressing do you use?
Im on week 4 and its soft foods. Just emailed my nutritionist and was giving the OK to try soft fresh fruits and salads. The stuff Im craving!!! I gave her an example of caesar salad when I was writing an email to her, she said I can give it a try minus the croutons and the fattening dressing. What dressings do you use that are not nasty and doesnt have much fat, calories or sugar?

Blue Cheese. Well, it does have fat but such a little dab will do the trick to flavor everything. I use a ton but have a different surgery. But maybe a little will work for you.

I use regular full fat dressings. I just use less.
BTW- I was still on liquids at 4 weeks. I was not cleared for fresh fruit and vegs until 3 months.
I would proceed with caution.
Lettuce still does not sit well with me.

I like honey mustard and it's one that can be made with less fat and still be tasty and not full of fake food. But I tend not to care about the fat content of anything. I don't think eating fat makes you fat.

I am on my Pre-op diet, Optifast and up to 1 cup of lettuce, cucumbers, green peppers, or celery a day. For dressing the only thing I am allowed is red wine vinegar. I asked if I could add splenda and was told I could. I thought it would be gross but I actually like it. I am considering this as my dressing after surgery as well. I find that I enjoy the sour to offset my daily sweet shakes.

You're too funny!!!
