Elavil anyone try this for headaches and sleep ?

That was one of the first meds I tried for my migraines, it is also when I started to gain a lot of weight. It did help, though.

I gained weight on it too. (this was preop, haven't tried it postop). It sure worked though.

That stuff has appetite increase as one of the side effects. I will take it once in awhile for sleep, and the next day, all I want to do it eat. It causes horrible head hunger!

Weight gain sucks. Thats one reason I got off Seroquel XR guess I'll have to be careful.

I used it back in the 1980's and gained a crapload of weight on it. It's notorious for weight gain.

I now use trazodone, which is another older antidepressant, for sleep.
