Pouch hangs unevenly
Hi everyone
- I am just about 5 weeks pre-op and have lost 30 (or more) pounds
. I have quite a lot of belly fat (apple shaped). I also had a C- section so always had kind of gross hangy fat under my belly button
. The problem is, since losing some of the fat in my belly, my pouch is hanging longer on one side
. You kinda have to be there but let's say I'm looking in the full-length mirror naked
. Under my navel, my pouch makes a very subtle "W" shape. Well, one of the bottom arches of the W hangs several inches LOWER than the other side. It is so disgusting you can see it thru my jeans so I still have to wear extra long tops
. I was expecting to have hangy fat post op but to have one side of my belly hang noticeably LOWER
????? I am not in any pain and there are no lumps, etc so I don't think it's a hernia. My friend told me not to worry that one of her boobs is slightly larger than the other. Is this the same thing???? Any comments appreciated.
Thanks, Mea

I'm pretty positive it's just fat, and in no way your pouch. Its the way the fat is hanging since you'velost a little. Your pouch is under inches of fat and mucle, and is in an abdominal cavity. There's no way it's sticking out unless you're rail thin, and it's not a w shape.. it's an oblong circle. Hope this eases your mind!
My belly fat is lop-sided, too, and has been almost from the beginning. As I lose weight the difference seems to get better for a while, then worse again, and recently I've discovered that the above-the-waist flab on my back is becoming uneven, too.
Nearly all women have one boob slightly larger than the other---usually it's the right one if you're right-handed, the left one if you're a lefty. This is generally due to the increased muscle developement on the dominant size, and I doubt this is a factor in our uneven fat deposits---but I AM right-handed, and my right side is the bigger one...
