What I've learned here!

My oh my, the last couple of days on this site have been informative for and illuminating to me! I've been on OH for over a year, mostly lurking and occasionally posting, but I sure got into it thick of things this time!

I've learned about caring and support, tolerance and intolerance, thoughtfulness and reactiveness, openness and judgementalism, agreement and disagreement, assumptions and hypocracy {including my own, which has been useful for me), and what works for me as well as what doesn't.

Thanks to all for the soapbox! Maybe that's the best thing- a place to express ourselves! Doesn't mean a person gets genuinely heard, but at least we can all say our piece.

I can also see that all points of view make for an interesting discussion! The fur has flown, along with a few lovely strokes.

It's a damn good thing I do have a very thick skin. And I like being able to be vulnerable, too, it makes life more interesting for me, even if I do get **** flung back sometimes. Sometimes I get really useful stuff, even rainbows and roses! I'm blessed with good love and support in my life.

So, anyhow, thanks again to all of you! Have a great day, whatever your point of view! May life bring you whatever you want to create!

Eh, nobody really listens to me, but it makes me feel useful...

you know what, it always makes me sad when I read someone who says they just stay right on their surgery forum (or state forum) because the MB is too mean. I say, we can learn something from anyone even if it's only how to act ourselves.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

LOVE it!

It's funny, because it's true.  (I think Homer Simpson said that)

Why are some DS's so nasty? Maybe I guess I should consider the messenger. It is beyond me, though.

I'm not doing away, Caprice, so block me, the way I'm told to block you. No skin off my back.
