Endometrial cells formed a growth?

6 years ago I had 5 inguinal hernias fixed w mesh and my endometriosis lasered (for the second time). After my c section 4 years ago, I felt a what I thought was a hernia, went back to reproductive endocrinologist, he said it was tissue in the mesh, I'll never have another hernia bc they put mesh in the 5 top places hernias are. So I put up with it for 4 years.

This summer it started bothering me during a 3000 mil road trip. The pedal motion was pulling it. I'm in a ton of pain. It comes and goes. Some weeks I can't wear jeans, etc. Finally went back to the general surgeon (who happens to do bariatrics) he said he doesn't think its a hernia, thinks its endometrial cells that got nicked during my c section. He said he would go in through my section scar and just cut it out. You can feel it under the skin. Its a hard lump and does not contract, which is why he doesn't think its a hernia. (I've been to two plastics consults and told them I had a hernia and they never said it wasn't?)

I'm afraid if its bad enough for those cells to form a hard lump, then how do I know they are not crazy all over other organs? I feel like I need the specialist to do the lasering and the surgeon there in case it is a hernia?  So I harrassed my reproductive endocrinologist into an appt tomorrow, but just wondering if anyone had any experience w endometrial cells that grew into a growth? Sounds like a long shot to me?

There is a chance that they are all over your other organs.  Ask the surgeon about it.  I know it is no longer the fashion, but in my day, and I am 63, if you were finished having babies and had a lot of fibroids and/or endometriosis, they just did a full hysterectomy.  That was the end of periods, PMS, fibroids, and endometriosis.  I had a hysterectomy 20 years ago and my intestines were full of growths.

Afterwards I felt better than I had in years.

They can leave one or two ovaries and then you will still have the issues like PMS until you reach natural menopause.   I wanted to do that and my doctor said since I had so many growths, he was afraid of ovarian cancer.  I was on Premarin for about ten years and also had the hot flashes for a few years.

I then went to progesterone for about a year and that balanced out things nicely.  There is a book that every woman should read.  It is "What Your Doctor Won't Tell You About Menopause".  Every woman' s life can be improved by balancing out certain hormones.  Additives to food and pollution in general have put our bodies out of balance.  The result is breast swelling, cramps, bloating, fluid retention, hot flashes, mood swings, etc.  Rapid weight loss will really mess with the hormones.  Check into natural progesterone and see how much better you can feel.

I had a similiar just recently.   After my 4rth C-section 9 yrs ago my left side was tender near my incision. This was before my WLS. I figured it was scar tissue or maybe a hernia. After I had my WLS and lost 150 lbs I could actually feel a lump and it was very tender. Also my left side protruded a little..

I had been to the Dr. for this and reassured me it was nothing but scar tissue. I had ultrasounds done that also backed that up. Five weeks ago I had a Tummy Tuck which my plastic surgeon thought it was going to be a hernia and wanted another surgeon in there when I was having surgery because he said he doesn't do hernia surgeries, but if it was scar tis
