I had rny in 2007 and I got all the way down to 190#'s. I was feeling good about myself until bad things started happening. I got through being resusistated twice (seperate occasions) from my asthma, Being called a crack head amongst other things because I got so small to my kids taking me through hell. I could go through a great big list of things that had me down but, I won't since I'm trying to maintain huge positivity. Great thing is that I have a wonderful fiance' in my life and he's helped me get my motivation back and bought me this great computer so I can visit here! So, now I'm back to losing again this time I don't care what goes down around me that used to be a road block in the past I'm going to finish what I've started. I hope to make more great friends here who know and understand.

I hear you girlfriend. I went through hell myself. Now i have to get iron IV's weekly, I had my surgery in 05. My doctor is Nestor De La Cruz. He's a good doctor, his staff is very uncaring, and they would become annoyed at the fact that I was sickly. They didn't want to tend to those who had a negative outcome. Sometimes i'd ask the doctor to call me, I was so sick, they wouldn't even give him the message. they would say tell me what the problem is. I would say, your not a doctor, nor should you be consulting me, this surgery is serious business. If you plan on having one, you should ensure that the doctor you select has caring staff. The issues I needed to speak to him about were issues discovered by my other physicians that needed some looking into. I went in person one day, instead of him tending to me, I got a physicians assistant. Today, i am very sick, lost all of my teeth, still lose my hair, cannot eat (everything gives me dumping syndrome, heart palpitations, diahreah or constipation) and lost my job because of this.

He needs to revamp his staffing because they are good at not allowing you to contact him. They cut you off from being allowed to reach him. I was even considering a lawsuit. Half my day is spent in bed sick. I've had to go to near starvation to being in bed severely ill. My dumping syndrome went from 30 minutes to 4 hours at a time now. My iron depletes if i don't get fed via IV and I now have chronic fatigue, I cannot focus, I have lost hand coordination, am week, have had on and off temporary vision loss, and nervous system problems all because of the surgery. Then when you talk to staff and ask for the doctor, i said i need him to call me so i can tell him what the dentist said, they'll say tell me i'll forward this to him. NO... I have a mouth, i can tell him myself. Where's the patient doctor confidentiality. I did some bloodwork, never got a call back to discuss the results. I am actually being tended to for life via five different doctors now. BEWARE.
So Blessed!
