HELP!!!!getting excruciating stomach pains
HELP....I'm a year and a half out of surgery and have been doing great!!! All of a sudden about a month ago I started getting these excruciating pains in my stomach that go straight through to my back. It almost feels like trapped air or pressure but I can't stand it and sometimes last an hour or longer!!! They already ruled our gall stones and blockage...what else can it be??? Anyone have similar experience??

Gas.
Is it often starting from the upper left side? Do you feel better if you lay on the side and smoosh up in the fetal position? Can you fall sleep and wake with it gone? Could be gas. Try simethicone, dump sugar alchohols, extra fibers and carbs....
If it's DRAMATIC DEATH PAIN and you've not found a cause. Welcome to the club. :)

I haven't had the surgery and I have been getting this kind of pain. I even went to the ER years ago and all they did was watch me squirm (what a big help that was). Maybe it is gas?
All that helps me is to lay on the floor in the fetal position and wait it out.... and throw up.. I always end up throwing up...Ugh...
I hope your doctor can figure out what's going on!

Kathy...have you had an ultrasound down or did they just say its not gallstones??? the reason i ask is because i have had the same pain and i actually have had it on and off for years and my PCP kept telling me it just sounds like gas and finally one morning it woke me up out of my sleep so my husband rushed me to the ER and thank goodness I got a dr that actually wanted to figure out what was wrong and got me a ultrasound and to our surpirse there were four gallstones....if you havent had an ultrasound i recomment going to the ER and requesting one! hope you get better soon :)
