New Zealand has to be one of the nicest countries of the world- it certainly is in my experience! Both the country and the people are wonderful, and I'm having a great time.

This is the second big trip I've done thin, and I must say it's great for the self confidence and the ability to blend in. I am so grateful for my WLS- I couldn't have done the weight loss without it.

But, my, is the food tempting! Yesterday I gave in to somewhat compulsive eating, so today it's back on the horse. I'm staying as active as I can, which is good. Lots and lots of stuff to see and do...

Thinking of all of you!!! We can do whatever we need to do to take care of ourselves no matter what the cir****tances!

Glad to hear you are enjoying New Zealand, I found Australia to be really odd as far as food was concerned, they had all these gorgeous desserts that no one seemed to eat and their meals were much smaller not all the stuff we eat with sandwiches etc. The ice cream was all brightly coloured, all strange fruit flavours and they aged their meat so it was brown at the store instead of red, that sort of grossed me out.  As for the country and the people, it was great, but the fact there were absolutely no plus sized clothes was sad, I couldn't even take back a souvenir that I could wear.  My friend took me to a party and everyone smoked, I was shocked, it felt like 1950's America, but this was 12 years ago so hopefully things have changed.

Enjoy being downunder, I don't envy the flight back.

We're eating on the boat, and so far the food is excellent- I'm doing my best to manage myself!

Thanks for your good wishes...

Having a great time- we're so active I think I'm losing weight!

Hector dolphins and a stiff long hike are on the docket today!
