Strange Alcohol Question

When I drink wine, which is not very often, I slur and get overly talkative after two glasses. So I know that 1 glass is my limit on those occasions where I choose to drink wine.

Not interesting, I know.... The unusual thing is coming...

I am sick and coughing my fool head off. One remedy that works well for me is hot whiskey with honey.... So I have been drinking it.

All night.

And I am not even slightly tipsy (or coughing).... But I am very confused. I bet I have put down 1/2 a bottle of Jack tonight!

How can I drink an amount of 15% alcohol and be out of it... But drink the same amount of 80% alcohol and be OK?

Amyone know anything about this?

I think when you warm up alcohol like whiskey, the alcohol contentbegins to evaporate. Why don't you try a lozenge.

Your reply cracked me up.

My coughing (the few times a year that I get it) is INSANE and can't be managed by a lozenge!!

I am switching to Delsym tonight though.

Thanks

Be really, really, careful.   I hope I'm wrong but it could lead into a cross addiction.

Appreciate your concern... and a cross addiction is NOT a plan for my future. Thank you very much.

 Mary.

1/2 a bottle of Jack is not a cure for a cold.

It's an excuse for a 1/2 bottle of whiskey, yes?

Are you okay this morning?

Mama:

I am fine.... I really meant this as a post of an odd observation, wondering if anyone else experienced it. I may have slightly exxaggerated the 1/2 bottle... but not by much!!!

At any rate I pitched the balance of the bottle and will rely on Delsym tonight if I wake up hacking.

Your concern and candor touched me.

Mary

I truly care.  Please be well.

Ironically - I got a fever yesterday.  It brought this post to mind.  ;)

Your liver doesn't care.

When you drink alcohol, it goes directly to the liver. And your liver doesn't care.

When you drink as much as you have, your liver doesn't care.

In time, your liver will be affected, and your liver doesn't care.

Everyone who has been overweight has had the effects of NASH, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis.

Some will never be affected by the drinking, but we can't tell who they are.

and, your liver doesn't care.

Don't know what nonalcoholic steatohepatitis is but I will Google it.

Thank you for your concern.. you have a nice writing style.
