I got pregnant 11mo post VSG. I had been at mini goal (145lb) for about 4 months. I worked my butt off exersizing daily, doing step aerobics for an hour a day, water, protein shakes, the whole 9 yards!

I got pregnant at 150... delivered at 185. Got down to 160, 8 months after birth. When she was 15mo I got pregnant again. When I was pregnant they made me eat and eat and eat because I wasnt gaining weight.

I delivered my son at 208lb. He's 12mo now and I'm at 175lb. I changed the way I ate so much (while preg)  that I forgot how I was supposed to be eating. I recently upped my protein and water intake, and lowered my carbs.

I dont necisarilly (work out) but I do clean house for 8 hours a day. I sit down maybe 1hr a day, and the rest of the time I'm standing, bending, vaccuuming, dishes, laundry ect...

A few weeks ago I was consuming 2,000-2,500cal a day. I was maintaining. I've cut it down to 1200 a day and I'm still maintaining. I dont know whats wrong with me... Have I failed??

How long have you been doing 1200 a day? It might take a while for the scale to budge because of water weight.

You need to know what you are burning each day so you can eat at a deficit. Otherwise you are just guessing and that can get frustrating. I have a BodyMedia FIT and it is so helpful for that. But there are cheaper ways to know your BMR and daily burn.

For example, you can get your body composition tested via a dunk tank or a DEXA scan. There is also a machine that tests  your RMR by breating into it for 10 minutes. Some gyms have them.

Don't go by the body fat % a scale tells you (those are wildly inaccurate) or some formula  online (only works for average people).

Also, are you tracking your food, weighing and measuring everything, or are you just keepig a rough count? Because a lot of times our portions can be very off and so can our memory of what we've eaten that day.

Congratulations on the rug rats! They must be so cute!

I think the weight loss part is going to take perseverence, and also heavier exercise. How long have you been at the lower calorie level?

What you were doing pre- pregnancies worked- you might want to return to that routine, though finding the time with 2 little ones could be hard.

Keep at it!!! Plus you have already lost quite a bit of the weight!

Go back and review the pouch rules for dummies. Google it. It has helped me tremendously! I log in faithfully at fitday.com and track everything. Down 16 lbs and lost 17 3/4 inches in a month.

I measure everything I eat and log it on My fitness pal. I started the 1200 cal 3 days ago. I've lost a pound. I was 176.6 and I weighed in today at 175.2 (Lowest I've been in 2 years) I went all the way to 179 about a week and a half ago. I guess I'm just used to seeing the scale move faster because I was loosing a pound a day right after surgery. I weigh daily even though I KNOW I should only weigh once a week. It's what motivates me. And it shouldn't be!
