Hi

I posted this on the PS website, but thought I'd post here, too, since there were no replies.

Has anyone had PS paid for by Cigna Open Access Plus?  If so, I'd love to hear about the experience.

Also, does anyone have a plastic surgeon they'd like to recommend in the CT, MASS or NY area?

I had my gastric bypass in Danbury and had a great experience - wouldn't mind using them again if insurance can pay, but happy to go to Hartford, NY, or southwest Mass if it works out.

Do most surgeons have a free consultation?

Thanks for any info.

I suggest Yale residency program, I have no idea if they take insurance at all, I don't think so, but they have good prices and I had a positive experience.

My understanding is in that the overwhelming number of cases, insurance companies will not pay for anything except breast reductions and panniculectomies (sp?)  The other procedures are seldom considered medically necessary.  A residency program might be your best bet in the event you have to pay out of pocket.
