I went back to eating small meals

And my body didn't kick the crap outta me like I thought it would. I eat 6 protein packed mini meals and I stay full. Finally the scale is moving in the right direction. I feel so much better eating small and I don't have so much gas. For example

#1 1 egg on 1 slice of toast
#2. Dole fruit crisp
#3. Protein drink
#4. Apple
#5. Greek yogurt
#6. Chicken pasta salad

I ended at around 1,000 calories but how I feel is more important than the actual calories.

Solise, do you get the greek yogurt with the fruit in it (or the flavored ones). The only ones I can find have sugar, and I'm afraid to try them (in fear of the dumping)

Good luck!

Lisa,

The majority of dairy does have some sugar.
You want the plain greek yogurt.  Word of warning - it tastes like thick crap.

To get past this taste, you start adding things - sugar free syrups, protein powder, fruit (I especially like blue berries in mine), crystal light or even just spenda.  Others use sugar free jello or sugar free pudding.

Experiment -that's what makes in fun.

You can add savory stuff to Greek yogurt, too.

A packet of dry salad dressing mix, or some salsa male nice dips for veggies that is high protein and low fat

I love the taste of 0% plain Greek yogurt. Been eating it for many years. Of course, I realize that not everyone does. Adding things like protein powder, SF jam, SF Torani syrups, or fresh fruits to it may help. I do use it in cooking dishes that call for heavy cream (ie: Indian Curry, and the like).

My Dr wanted me to stick to 3 meals a day with no snacks.  I told my NUT that would be impossible for me because I work really long hours.  We designed a 3 meal + 1 snack meal plan, but I think I like yours better.

It just seems to me that we are better off eating 5 or 6 small meals a day than 3.

I would rather eat 150 - 300 calories at a time and not risk getting used to big meals, and not stretching my pouch..... It just makes sense if our pouches are the size of an egg or so, that it is better to eat small meals.

I seem to go with the 5 to 6 small meals as well.  I gained 10 lbs     by eating larger portions and wanting more.  I'm getting it off now.    I learned my lesson.

I have done six small meals my whole time since surgery.  I can only eat a small amount.  Trying to eat a bigger meal would not work for me.
