@ 2Mos RNY how many calories?
Okay I am getting in 75-100 grams of protein 50 of that from protein shakes and at least 80oz of water But how many Calories should i aim for or stay under? What did/do you do?

That would be great if I had some sort of retsriction but I don't. I have to stop myself. I tested it out this weekend and I can eat at least 6 oz of meat and still not be full or satisfied. Normally I stop myself after 3oz but I had two servings because I was very hungry and I could have still eaten more IF I had chosen to.

Well, eat protein only, and watch for your High Level Alarm. When your nose runs or you hiccup or
burp, then quit eating because your pouch is full. You probably don't have a satiety feeling anymore.
Most RNY's don't.
If you continue to eat to satisfy your nonexistent hunger then you'll zip right on through your Honey
moon period.
Six ounces of protein isn't really all that much. You're supposed to be able to eat more as you heal.

I'm going to try this today,.. its going to be easy to get some meat before they douce it with BBQ sauce. lol Thanks for the info. I'll look for cues! It sounds funny I never had that happen before or maybe I never noticed it.

When I saw 6 ozs of protein at 2 months out, I found that unbelievable. Then I saw that it is two months out from revision. Totally different story. You have a full size pouch with a tightened stoma. Protein shakes are not going to keep you full. They run right through.
To determine your daily calories, take your goal weight and multiply by 10. That is a good guideline for getting to goal.
If your goal is 180, then eat 1800 calories a day, if it is 120, then eat 1200 calories a day. You will lose faster with exercise. Your pouch will hold eight to twelve ounces at a time. Try to fill it with dense protein. Avoid starches and carbs.

OMG!!!! Thanks for this info!! I thought I was crazy for a moment. My doc said he was going to make the pouch smaller and tighten the stoma and remove 75% of my old stomach to stave off hunger. (A Bill Of Goods MAYBE??) lol I can't wait to get the report to see exactly what he did and to talk to him about my fears and concerns.
