IVF filter

I was told to get an IVF filter prior to surgery but no Hemotologist in my area will do it. I have been on the phone all week. I am very fustrated. I called the surgeons office and told them I can't find anyone.
They said they would talk to the surgeon. What kind of doctor placed your IVF filter?  Maybe I need a different kind of doctor to call instead of a Hemotologist.

Thank you,

My surgeon inserted my filter a few days prior to surgery.  I would think if your surgeon didn't do it, he would at least be able to refer you to someone who did.

Good luck!

Hematologists don't do surgery.  You need a cardiac surgeon or a general surgeon.  If you don't know one, ask your bariatric surgeon to recommend one.

Like Sharon said my bariatric surgeon set it up and I might add in case you are nervous about it, it is a very simple procedure and done out-patient. You are asleep and it's over in a very short time.
