Hi everyone.  I am having a bit of a problem, I hope you can help me with. I have lost so much weight, and this summer I had a tummy tuck.....I look great.  Problem is, I am not starting to be able to eat more, and more...and I am so afraid of gaining back.  a lot of people do.  I have a lot of stress right now too.  I need to follow a more structured diet, maybe someone can suggest a 7 day portion sized diet for me to follow.  I dont want to gain it all back.  I was 350 at one time, befor rny, now I weight between 180 to 190/   I have no dr...as he moved away a year after my op, and I dont have a support group or people to help me out.  can anyone suggest anything, or maybe even email me back and forth with support ...I can give u my email if you ask for it on my profile.  If I stretched out my pouch is it too late?? gosh!!!

I had surgery the month before you. Give us an idea of what you might eat on a daily basis and how much and how often you are eating.

Ok, so heres the thing...Im not sure what a person is supposed to be able to eat 3 yrs out...but I will give you a sample of yesterdays food.  I cant today, because I went to the movies and gobbled up popcorn...

speaking of popcorn,...a lot of people tell me they cant eat that...but I have never had a problem.  I buy the light kind, to keep it more healthy, and I am able to eat one whole bag of light microwave popcorn.  I think its because it disolves so much. Its my favorite snack.  Is that bad?

so, Yesterday I made my family a big breakfast...
I ate,

1/2 a bagel with margerine
1 fried egg, maybe 3 tablespoons fried potatoes, 2 slices bacon
for lunch I ate the other half of the bagel

dinner was about 1 1/2 cups elbow macaroni made with brocoli/peas and hamburger meat

I had some popcorn for a snack at night, and heres the kicker

I made homemade choc. chip cookies...and stupid me I ate probably 5 of them thru the day
and one homemade canoli! I know thats bad.

so I know I have to cut out the junk, but is it normal for me to be able to eat one whole sandwich at times now? or a whole salad from mcdonalds.?

thats another thing I can eat a lot of salad. Is that normal, or is it because I chew up the vegies so fine?  Im so worried about gaining.  I used to be up to 350 and Im pretty steady around 185 now.  I just had a tummy tuck this summer, and I suffered for it ....long recovery, had an infection, it was horrible.  I dont want to do this all in vain.  I know that the stress level in my life is adding to it.  When I was up to 350 I acknowledge that my eating was very much a mental thing.  and after the gastric bypass, I just couldnt eat a lot, because I would get sick.  Now what made me sick I can eat...and more.  If I stretched it out a little, can I shrink it back if I diet strick. should I go back to measuring and planning specific things to eat.  If so do you have a good suggestion as to what I should plan, portion sizes and times?  I hate not having a gastric dr or group to consult.  thank you in advance...Diane

We have a support group that meets once a month at Victoria Gardens.  I don't know if that is too far for you.  If you give me your email address I can have the support group leader add you to the facebook page.  Its for ladies only so its nice to have a place to talk to just women who have gone through the same thing as you.
