I was just wondering if anyone who had had the gastric bypass is on this and do you take the pill or the liquid form??? Also if you were on this pre-op and post-op has it had the same effects for you?

Hey there! I take Celexa in pill form and it has always seemed to work. (If I forget to take it I feel really crappy!) So I deduce I'm still absorbing it fine. Just pay  attention to how you feel and let your doctor know if you feel you are not absorbing it properly and they would probably just up your dose.

I have taken Celexa for years & I'm a year out & on 40mg pill, but recently within the past few days my Dr has added Wellbutrin as well as I don't think the Celexa is cutting it like it used to.

I am on Zoloft and I tried the liquid form after surgery and it was awful! I am now back on the pill and it is working fine. I use to also take lamictal and I have decreased my dose of lamictal significantly.

I take the generic (citalopram) in pills. They still work as well as they did pre-op. I recently added an antianxiety med and the combo is pretty good. I sleep a lot, but when I'm awake I'm fairly functional.   ;-)
