For the ladies...PCOS resolved?

 

Hi Ladies!   I  was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 19 and hypothyroidism when I was 11. I just had RNY on August 26th and I'm curious if anyone else who has had the same issues have noticed any resolution in their symptoms since the surgery? I have PCOS as well. My surgery is 9/11 so I don't have any feedback for you, but I've heard positive remarks from others. PCOS is the main reason I'm having the surgery.

I have PCOS and I am 6 months post op and down 117 lbs.  I havent really noticed anything different with my PCOS excpet that the dark skin on the back of my neck has lightened alot.  I have only had one period since surgery and it was crazy heavy!!   I'm hoping that I have another one soon.  I was told that nothing cures PCOS but that it does get better.

I have PCOS and I am 5 years and 8 months post op. Unfortunately, I have not had any resolution or improvement in my PCOS. We have been trying to conceive for several years with no success. I just started to see a reproductive endocrinologist in January of this year and have started fertility treatments, but so far no luck.
