Adding unflavored protein to hot beverages
I've tried searching for an answer without much luck, and I don't see anything about it on the canister. I have Protocol brand unflavored whey protein isolate, is it still effective if I add it to hot beverages/foods? Thanks!

Do you mean does heating it somehow make the protein go away? No. If you heat eggs, or milk, or meat, the protein doesn't go away, right?
However, if you put protein powder into a really hot liquid, it will make icky clumps. The way to avoid that is to use a couple ounces of cold or room temp liquid, add the protein powder to that, and stir until it's like a smooth paste. Then stir that into the hot liquid.

I was wondering about adding it to hot beverages, like coffee. Thanks.

The temperature of the liquid must not exceed 140 degrees or any protein will clump. A food thermometer helps. You get a warm drink/food, but not at 140. (Water boils at 212 degrees)
I mix a little of the warm liquid into the powder to make a slurry (dissolving the powder), then slowly stir in the rest of the fluid.
Great, thank you!
