Glasses changing?
I recall someone mentioning that her prescription had changed for her glasses after losing a lot of weight. Is that a normal thing?

It could be, especially if you have uncontrolled blood glucose levels. That could be anything from high blood sugars to blood sugars that jump around alot. High blood sugars will mess with your eyesight. I had a good friend who had Lasik surgery. THEN he went in and got his Type II diabetes under control. Completely changed his eyes and he had to go back in for more Lasik surgery.
Interesting, thanks! It sounds like this won't be applicable to me :/

Yes. I've noticed that just since my surgery my glasses prescription needs to be updated, which is probably a result of the new lower, more stable blood glucose. I've had problems with my eyesight changing as a result of diabetes in the past, and the possibility of that was confirmed by my opthalmologist. I'm going to wait a couple more months before getting another exam, though, just to give it plenty of time to stabilize.

Thanks! Very interesting. Sadly I don't think this will be applicable to me :(

My eye doc (and my surgeon) could not believe how much my eyes have changed. From -6.50 to -3.50 in one eye and -3.25 in the other eye.
Wow, that's amazing! Did you have diabetes? I'd actually love for my eyes to change that much - I could ditch the coke bottle lenses!

Yes, my diabetes is in remission. It confused me at first, I didn't understand what was going on with my eyes.
