Taking a poll
Age at time of surgery 59 ½, height 5'3", weight 240 lbs high, 225 SW, now 3½+ years out from surgery.
Don't remember weights at one month or three months, now holding steady at 125lbs.
I started run/walking 5+ miles pretty much daily six weeks before surgery, continued that for 2 years, and now walk 2 ½ miles daily ever since my orthopedic doc told me to stop running and cut back some because of my age.

I was 44 when I had open RNY. I was about 265 pre op, a little less day of surgery.
I lost 30 pounds the first month (that seems about average).
At 3 months I was a slow loser-took almost a year to lose all my weight. so at 3 months probably down 45-50 lbs.
I exercised before and after surgery-hiking, biking, white water rafting, canoeing, walking daily, swimming, etc. I upped it after surgery and was given the ok at about 6 weeks to go full speed ahead.

I'm 59 and 5'3'. Starting weight was about 239. Current weight is 230. I start my pre-op liquid diet on Tuesday. Sleeve is scheduled for March 11. I hope to lose more by day of surgery. I hope I can do as well as Anne as our stats are very similar. I'll be delighted if I can get down to 135. I have a lot of spinal stenosis with continual back pain so I am limited in terms of what exercise I can do. I work with a personal trainer twice a week but that's all I can do as even walking is terribly painful. Hoping surgery will change that.
