I am on my second day of the liquid diet.  It is not as bad as I thought it was going to be (I know I am still early in it though).  I have my surgery on Monday 3-17, I can not wait !!!!

Change up your shakes so you don't get bored with them!

It wasn't too bad for me either.  I enjoyed soup made with chicken broth and some greens, that helped.  Flavouring the shakes helps too.  How long do you have to fast for?  I was on the shakes for 14 days.  After day 5 I found it to get a lot easier.

Good luck!

I only have to do this week.  I can only have the protein shakes, water or broth. I have to say the shakes are pretty filling !!!

I felt wonky the first three days, and I've been fine since.  (I'm on day 9 of 10.)  And, surprisingly, I never felt my willpower waver.  I was expecting to be tempted by "real" food, but it never happened.

I'm on the the 2nd day of the liquid diet too and I'm struggling.  I find myself running to the restroon every 30 mins and I have the chills and I feel nauses.  It wouldn't be so bad if I was at home but I'm at work.  I know it will pass and I see the bigger picture but I just want to lay down.

My surgery is Tuesday, March 18th and I can't wait!!

Luckily its not bad at all for me....knock on wood.  I have always drank a lot of water, so the bathroom thing is normal for me.  What type of shakes are you taking, i know some with certain sugars in them make your belly upset.

"If you use protein drinks for dieting or if your bariatric surgeon prescribes protein shakes following weight-loss surgery, find out which type of sweetener the product contains. Sugar alternatives, such as sucralose, aspartame and sorbitol can trigger intestinal cramping, stomach pain and explosive diarrhea. Stomach woes attributed to sugar substitutes can be avoided by using protein drinks sweetened with stevia or agave nectar."

Good for you!

By day 3 I was sailing along, glad you are not having a struggle with it, either!

YAY...the 17th is a blink away!
