Does anyone have shoe recommedations for supporting 300 lbs? I need a good pair of every day dress shoes and a good pair of workout/walking shoes.

My podiatrist would kill me if I wore these.  There's atom of research out there about increased injury.

To the OP - I got fitted for Brooks sneakers at a running store and love them. I also like Dansko for dress shoes!

It's not healthy for anyone to wear toe shoes, much less someone who weighs 300 pounds. There is absolutely no support or cushion.

Get a good pair of walking or running shoes. Running shoes are best for straight line movement, even if it is just walking. They aren't as good for lateral movement. I think New Balance have everything you need, and many are US made.

When I would walk at 300+ lbs, I would wear Asics, Love them. Every day shoes, I wear Danskos or Sanitas.

Asics Gel Nimbus.  Best work out gym shoe in my opinion.  Especially if you're walking.  This shoe, by far, has the most cusion in it.  Like walking on air.  My friend who is a nurse and on her feet for 12 hours a day says that her feet love her since she switched.

I have a pair of Orthaheel mary janes that I love to death, I bought them after hurting my back and they're amazingly comfortable! Super cute, too, and they're great for work both with jeans and when I need to be dressy.

When I was 250... New balance were great. Men size - since I have wide feet.  Even now - samer shoes on BOGO deal is great. I try to change my exercise shoes every 6 months.

I would say Asics Gel Kayano. Here's an article to support this recommendation. I have them and I can honestly say that the first few days took some getting used to (I don't wear closed toed shoes often), but after a week, I was wearing them everywhere. My back loosened up a bit.
