Now What???
update, my surgery packet was sent off to the insurance company on the 4th (doc confirmed that it was received and all was there) then the 7th ins requested facility name which surgeons office faxed back immediately. Then I call the 10th and I am told be the ins. Co that there is nothing that had been sent 😠 after they suggested that I call the surgeons office and have the packet refaxed (which was all resent and confirmed receipt again) the ins co calls the next day to ask for an updated ins card. Again so frustrated, I called to find out what in the world was going on and all they could say is it must have been miss entered 😡 and they now have everything and to call Wednesday and it could possibly be done (nope not done) now I am told to call again and by Friday and the surgeon should receive the faxed confirmation number but 3/17
does everyone have a 2week preop diet? How long does the labs take to get back? Any tips? Encouraging ways to not get frustrated?

Pre-op diets based on the patient and the surgeon. Are you aware of what your surgeon requires for you?
My labs came back in a few days, but the pre-op labs by anesthesia were back the next day. Not sure which labs to which you are referring.
My advice is to capture the name, identifier and time of anyone you speak to at insurance. You could have said "Mary Smith, ID 1234 told me at 10:14a ET on March 7 that you only needed the facility name and everything else was on hand." In dealing with the many, many issues we had with an orthopedic surgery for my husband last year, I can tell you that having very solid records were the saving grace!!
Best wishes on getting an answer soon!
HW333--SW 289--GW of 160 5' 11" woman. I only know the way I know & when you ask for input/advice, you'll get the way I've been successful through my surgeon & nutritionist. Please consult your surgeon & nutritionist for how to do it their way. Biggest regret? Not doing this 10 years ago! Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!
This is outstanding advice. Don't let the doc do all the work, keep pushing, call often. Be a squeaky wheel and document everything.

I understand your aggravation. I called my case manager. She said they make the determination by when surgery is scheduled. The doctor told me they set the surgery date after insurance approves. I am with you Now What ????
